This is the worst feeling ever. Bought a nice dashcam and I would periodically pull the SD card to review footage making sure it was recent. then the ONE DAY that I’m involved in an accident (wasn’t my fault but other insurance companies for other drivers wanted the footage) the SD card had gotten corrupted and the cam wasn’t recording (despite the red recording LED is on). Yea if you see the old analog cameras mixed in with new digital cameras usually the analog is left up as “dummy’s” to cover the holes in the walls and add an extra security measure of making people believe that they are being watched. I’ve wandered up and around when I’ve seen those while traveling and I never spot any aircraft nearby. Granted, they could be miles away from where they are a dot to human eyesight but at that distance, can they really claim accuracy with readings and that they were for sure locked on you and not another vehicle by you? Usually, there are road marks and they time how long it takes for you to go from one mark to another. They then use a really good camera to take a pic of your plate to get your info and then issue you a ticket. That’s how I was told they enforced it on i5 in California anyways. Oh, it’s a whole fucking awful rabbit whole.
